Greece, Chania - Erasmus + ( 18.04.15 - 25.04.15 )

Day 1st - Saturday

We met around 9:30 at the airport Pyrzowice, departure was scheduled at noon. 11:40. After checking customs and luggage already waiting at the terminal. We had about 30 minutes. free time. At the appointed hour. we went to the plane and set off on a journey that lasted 2.5 hours. After landing, he picked us up a person delegated by the organizers and led to a bus that took us to seven schools participating in the project, in the small town Alikanos. I met my host Greek friend Michalis and his family. Around 16:30 we arrived home to eat lunch. After the meal, along with Michalis I visited the area in which he lived or MilonianÄ™. After 2 hours we went to Chania, where I met the rest of the people involved in the project on the island of Crete. We spent a very pleasant evening.

Day 2nd - Sunday

That day we got about 10, ate breakfast and watched a movie. After 3 hours we went to Chania, but just me and Michalis, to see the rest of the city and buy some souvenirs. After sightseeing, we visited with my mother and aunt Michalis Greek Wedding, which was full of people eating, singing and dancing. After this interesting experience, we picked up a roommate from Italy and returned home.

Day 3rd - Monday

It was the first day that we realized the project. About 8 met in school in Alikanos. There were hot greeted by many influential people from the neighborhood, and also saw presentations on Greece. Another highlight was visiting the area, which was organized on the principle of the game in the field. After this game we went to dinner, where the Greeks presented their traditional dance. After the meal we went to Chania to discover the interesting sights along the tour, it was the last point of trips that day, after which we returned home.

Day 4th - Tuesday

On this day we went from the school bus to the Orthodox Academy of Crete. There initially heard a lecture on ecology. Then we visited the chapel, painting workshop, museum herbalism, and located so the library. In it I find a lot of documents in many languages, but they have not been selected and are continuing to work to organize the collection. After examination of the complex, each group presented a presentation on their country. After pleasantly spent time in the Cretan Academy we went to the botanical park. Hired guide showed us, showering group of curiosities from the natural world. This nice touch ended the next day and returned home.

Day 5th - Wednesday

On Wednesday, he is scheduled to travel by viewing and sightseeing Aptera. These were the ruins of the ancient town, and the best preserved one of the temples. It was almost intact. That day we saw a lot of great landscapes, but the most captivating was the view of the sunset reflecting in the sea. One of the attractions was a statue of a soldier from World War II, who used his body as a mast to the Greek flag. After these experiences we went way back.

Day 6th - Thursday

On Thursday, early in the morning we went by bus to Heraklion - the largest city in Crete. The trip lasted 2.5 hours. After reaching the place first we went to see the ancient palaces of Knossos. It was a very interesting place, which was of great importance for the Greek culture and history. Then we went to the center to see the old town. We saw antique buildings in the composition of the modern building. Later, we were in the Natural History Museum of Crete. There we saw, among others, earthquake simulator, holograms and many physical experiences. This is a very interesting place, and it is certainly worth a visit. We left from Heraklion, and the next stop was a small port town of Rethymno. There we ate dinner, and after we had free time to see this cozy town. Around 20:30 we went on the road to the house, which lasted about 1.5 hours.

Day 7th - Friday

It was the last day of the project, at the beginning we had a lecture on meteorology, which was very interesting and I learned a lot of useful information on weather forecasting and observation of phenomena in the sky. At the end of the lecture we got a weather station, which we have to follow the conditions in the countries and to share with other partner countries. Then we went to Chania, where the conference room held a small quiz. After completing all the tasks we had free time and went back to their homes. About 18:00, it was organized a farewell party, where everyone enjoyed themselves. She played traditional music and dance participants, it was a very enjoyable last evening together.

Day 8th - Saturday

Morning at 7:00 from the school went to the airport because we had a 9:30 am flight to Polish. After an hour drive we were on the spot. We had a briefing customs and luggage and expected through. The plane took off at a fixed hour. We left Greece with a heavy heart, because it was a trip full of excitement and unforgettable moments. We met wonderful people, their customs and culture. As a result, we have gained new friends from leaving. Around 11:30 we were back at Katowice airport.
